Enclosed Contactors

An enclosed contactor is a type of electrical switch used to control high-power electric motors and other large loads. It is a compact and enclosed device that typically consists of an electromagnetic coil, one or more sets of contacts, and a metal casing that provides protection and insulation. The electromagnetic coil generates a magnetic field when energized, which attracts the movable contacts and causes them to close, completing the circuit and allowing electrical current to flow to the load. When the coil is de-energized, the magnetic field collapses and the contacts open, breaking the circuit and stopping the flow of electricity to the load. Enclosed contactors are commonly used in industrial and commercial applications, such as HVAC systems, crane and hoist controls, and pump and compressor controls.
